Papa's first ever Dream Cruise Movie Night to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut is in the history books now and by all accounts was a big success. For those people who came out to join in on the fun on May 21st they had a great night of classic car viewing and movie watching on the big screen. The movie screen was HUGE and the picture quality was fantastic. Rain? Of course we had a little of that late in the afternoon and it kept the attendance down to maybe 150 or so, but the movie goers that came out had a great time. The Movie was a fairly new one to hit the screen. While not many people had heard of it, it was a new movie with an old story of a classic car and its owner and their life together. People are still talking about what a great movie it was and what a great time they had at a classic style drive-in movie night. If the weather had cooperated earlier in the evening, we probably would have had at least 300 people here for the night. Unfortunately the rain was all around us which may have kept many of the "out of towners" away. To kick off the evening the band "Sharades" played and swooned the audience with 50s style music. We held a couple e-mail collection raffles and a 50/50 raffle of which half of the pot was donated to Special Olympics. Gary Berman, the winner of the 50/50 raffle donated some of his winnings to Special Olympics. Thanks to Renee Dinino from "The River 105.9" and our own A.J. Maida who MC'd the night and kept things moving. That night we had a number of car enthusiasts attend that had never seen or been to our dealership before and that is just what we were aiming for. We introduced many new people to our facility, and they were all ammazed by "America's Most Unique Car Dealership" and raised awareness and money for Special Olympics at the same time. We may try another one at the end of summer or maybe again next summer. In any event, it was a great night that couldn't have been pulled off without the support and efforts of the many Papa's associates who pitched in. To those associates, and everyone who attended, a heartfelt thank you! Featuring the Music of
