Hartford Dealer Announces prodution of New Dodge Dart

Papa's Dodge is please to announce the start of production of the Dodge Dart. Located in New Britain, CT just south of Hartford and north of New Haven Papa's is the #1 Volume Dodge Dealer in CT.

The start of production of the new Dodge Dart is a very big deal for Chrysler Group. But not too big for CEO Sergio Marchionne to joke about it.

Speaking to reporters at the Geneva auto show on Tuesday, Marchionne said that the start of production was being pushed back from April 1 to April 2 "to avoid being jinxed" by April Fool's Day.

But as Papa's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram owner Dom Papa  points out, April 2 was always the scheduled launch date for production. April 1 this year is a Sunday.

"Can't we make a joke in America?" Papa said Wednesday when asked about the Fiat and Chrysler boss' quote. Numerous news reports on Wednesday failed to note that Marchionne was joking.

The Dodge Dart is a much anticipated model, the kind of competitive, fuel-efficient small car that Chrysler hasn't manufactured for decades. While the name harks back to a model last offered in the '70's, the car's engineering is shared with Italian automaker Fiat Group, Chrysler's majority owner of which Marchionne is also CEO.

With gas prices rising steadily and approaching $4 a gallon nationally, Papa's, which sells more cars in Hartford then any other Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram new or Certified Used Car dealer is excited about offering the 2013 Dodge Dart to economy minded buyers. The sticker price on the Dodge Dart will be in the $15,000 range.
Due to the threat of Hurricane Irene Dream Cruise and Dream Ride 2011 has been postponed. The decision needed to be made early because we have such a large amount of local Police, State Police, Fire, EMS and other emergency personnel who needed to be made available to their departments. Please read the letters from Dom Papa and Mike Bozzuto.

More Horsepower for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8

There was a time when the Dodge Charger (which chased Steve MeQueen in Bullitt and ran from Boss Hogg in The Dukes of Hazzard) was one of the most coveted American hot rods. And when the new line-up of redesigned Dodge Chargers was announced, many Doge fans were skeptical, downright enraged, that the American auto maker would bring back the classic  and turn it into a 4-door sedan. But Charger became the bell of…

Do you need to Warm your car in Winter

There was an Article in the Hartford Courant last week stating that it's an argument that's almost as old as Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep automobiles themselves: Should you fully warm up the car before driving it off in winter? Experts agree there is no mechanical benifit to letting a modern engine idle for more then around 30 seconds before putting the transmission in gear. Not only does it waste gas-an idleing car gets…

Improved fuel efficiency, more power and reduced emissions, all hallmarks of the new Pentastar V-6 engine, will soon be available in 13 2011 models from Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge, including the '11 Challenger and Charger..

The Pentastar V-6, the most advanced six-cylinder engine ever produced by Chrysler's Powertrain Group, is slated to be the 'workhorse' engine across many models and will eventually replace seven different V-6 engines over the next three years. By 2014?

New Durango has arrived

With so many soccer games, ballet recitals and sleepovers to get to, the last thing stressed-out moms and dads need to worry about is whether they can afford a "family truckster" with enough room for the kids and all of their gear. With those attributes in mind, here is the brand new 2011 Dodge Durango. They have just arrived here at Papa's Dodge Chrysler Jeep in New Britain CT, just south…
