Dodge Pumps It Up With the Charger SRT

In the coming years, you'll see the fuel-mileage on cars like the Dodge Charger continue to rise as the engineers work behind the scenes to make every new Dodge model as efficient as possible. But that doesn't mean they've abandoned their muscle, either. This year in particular, Dodge has teamed up with Mopar yet again to bring two Dodge Challenger SRT8 models to the streets in 2012.

The first, the 2012 Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket is Stinger Yellow with a fierce black grille and wide black body-side stripes. It rolls on 20 x 9-inch, five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels with black pockets. The leather seats feature a Stinger Yellow accent band and an embroidered Yellow Jacket logo and silver stitching.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is available in Stinger Yellow or Pitch Black, both paint jobs feature special Super Bee graphics. The interior boasts the famous three-spoke SRT steering wheel, Z-stripe cloth performance seats with yellow and silver striping and embroidered Super Bee logos on the headrests.

The engine powering both of these models is the new 6.4-liter Hemi V8 delivering 470 ponies of power and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Both the Yellow Jacket and the Super Bee zip from 0-60 in just around four seconds, and both can tear through a quarter-mile in just about 12 seconds. Both vehicles can reach a top speed of 175 mph.

Needless to say, these aren't your average cars. They are, however, exactly what one would expect from a muscle car. Which makes Papa Dodge pretty happy.
